Here at Sweet Plates we have decided to dedicate our first Sweet Plates show to
this sweet lady.
This sweet lady is my (Lesa) Mom, Laree, and Kendra's Grandma.
Kendra used her name, Laree, as a middle name for her daughter who was born last year.
Laree was a wonderful Mom and Grandma. She suffered long and fought hard while having cancer.
It eventually took her life in 2000.
Mom always like to have her kids and grand kids over for Sunday dinner.
She loved to play games after.
Many times she brought out some kind of sweet treat to enjoy
while we talked and played games.
She is greatly missed.
Several of her children have carried on the traditions
of playing games and having sweets.
In her honor we are going to donate a portion of the proceeds from our first show to the
What a sweet story & great idea! I lost my dad in 2000 also, to Alzheimers. He is still missed dearly. He always acted like a goof (like me!) & made us laugh all the time.
